Our Scripture for the topic of purity is 1 Peter 1:13-16. You can read it by clicking the link here: www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Peter%201:1-16&version=NIV . The preceding context is also included. Read through the passage take not of how Peter says to live our the commands given to us starting in verse 13. Before God commands us to live holy lives, he does things that empower us to live that way. Discussion Questions:1) In verses 1-12, what are the things that God has already done that makes it possible for us to live pure and holy lives? 2) What are some significant observations about verses 13-16 (commands, comparisons, explanations, motivations, time references, etc.)? 3) Does becoming holy mean that we are to completely separate ourselves from society? Why or why not? 4) What principles can we derive from verses 13-16 that apply to our lives now?
